65 Days of Static
65daysofstatic ( AKA 65dos, 65days, or simply 65) are an instrumental rock band from Sheffield, England.
Formed in 2001, the lineup has changed significantly over the years to the current members - Joe Shrewsbury, Paul Wolinski, Rob Jones and Simon Wright.
In 2006, 65DOS played to their biggest crowd yet at the Summer Sonic festival in Japan, alongside Metallica, Lostprophets, Linkin Park and Deftones. 2006 also saw their first European tour, playing in Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy and France.
The band has released three albums: The Fall of Math, One Time for All Time, and The Destruction of Small Ideas. Their music is described as interspersed heavy, progressive, guitar-driven instrumental sections with live drums and off-beat sampled drums.
